About The Artist

Heather Aldo

Creating helps me slow down and focus, and fluid art is where I find the most peace. I’m drawn to the movement of paint and the balance between guiding it and letting it do its own thing. That tension between control and freedom is at the heart of my work.

I’ve been creative all my life. Early on, I found joy in guiding children through art in many different settings. I volunteered at my kids’ elementary school, led Girl Scout troops, ran a daycare, and taught Sunday School—all opportunities to help children express themselves through art, crafts, and imaginative play.

When my children grew up and I closed my daycare, I soon realized how much I missed the daily spark of creativity that had always been part of my life. With new time and space to explore, I turned toward the kind of art that had always fascinated me—abstract art and color studies.

I discovered fluid art on YouTube, first through Molly Leach of Molly’s Artistry. From there, the floodgates opened to an incredible community of artists, many of whom I now proudly call friends. Fluid art reignited my creative spirit and filled the space that had been missing. Creating became deeply personal—art for my own soul—but I soon realized that sharing my work was just as important. One of my greatest joys is displaying my art, answering questions, and connecting with curious art enthusiasts.

Now, after several years of creating and selling my work, I’m excited to return to teaching—this time, sharing the joy of fluid art with artists of all ages.

You can find details about my upcoming classes in the “Events” section.

"Smoke on the Water" is a 12 x 24 acrylic on canvas piece that was the inspiration for my logo. The piece hangs proudly in my home still to remind me where my journey began.
